Road to Recovery
The road to recovery is long and replete with exchanges of gains and setbacks. This week has been a good one filled with steady hold on the gains of a week ago. With two days of on court squash games, my body has felt no ill effects. The tender disc in the neck felt better the second time on court than the first. The neck feels strong and stable. The core strength exercises help a great deal for support. I was able to play nearly full intensity. I don't dare go too far too soon. After only one week of squash, I aim to continue the same regiment for next week without raising the intensity or duration. I need to continue to ease into competitive play. And it will involve getting lessons and drills into the routine before competition starts.
