Rehab

On Wednesday and Thursday I tried peddling on the stationary bike. No luck both times. I raised the seat as high as I could with my foot still reaching the pedals, but I couldn't pedal through the high range without the annoyingly stifling pain in the knee.  After 5 minutes, all the other muscles felt worked out except the left quad.

This afternoon, I had success. The pain had subsided dramatically. I woke up this morning feeling no pain in the full range of knee bend. During the first 2 minutes on the stationary bike, I could feel a good deal of soreness, but I could pedal to a 90 degree knee bend.  The pain started to go away the longer I pedaled.  I completed 15 minutes on the bike at the same pace I had been working out before the wreck.

I also completed 3 court sprints.  The left quad was weak, but it felt nearly pain free.  I think I will try hard to build up the quad for lunging.  I will fit in several court sprints in a day and over a week.  The lateral side stepping was also pain free today, another good sign.

It felt good to have the feet working again. I notice the drives were better as a result of moving the feet and bending low.
