What I learned from Practice tonight

So what did I learn from tonight's practice? Well, I didn't watch the ball that closely. I remember on a few occasions being able to see the trajectory of the ball leaving the opponent's racquet, but it would not come back into view until after it came off the wall and nearly past me.

I did learn in real time what my opponent was doing to anticipate my shots. The result of my changing up the shots, cross court lob vs. down the line drive, really put my opponent off and caused him to miss some of his more bread and butter winning shots.

I learned a good serve required a little snap of the wrist and a low to high trajectory.

I still have lapses in seeing the ball, judging distance, and moving my feet, especially while returning serve. I swung and missed two consecutive serves. Both times the ball came off the side wall low and further behind the service box.
