First day back

After a 4 week absence, I was back at play last night. I confined myself to just drills and even so, it took a long time to warm up and indeed to even notice the things wrong I was doing. The footwork was very slow to get back into the groove. I lost the bounce and standing on tiptoes for nearly the whole hour. Once I got that back, the game felt more natural and less of a struggle. The straight drive was also very hard to get back too. It just shows how little time it takes to lose what you've worked many months to gain. On the positive note, trying out the white ball had a really good effect on watching the ball. If it didn't give me eye strain, it made my seeing the ball so much better.
